“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” Proverbs 21:31

Re-opening Guidelines on May 31, 2020
The following guidelines and recommendations are intended to prepare Bethel Baptist Church for the day of assembling ourselves together in the declining days of the COVID-19 pandemic. We fully understand that our personal and collective safety is of the Lord. We will do what is prudent and reasonable and trust God to protect us all as He has been so faithful to do for the past few months.
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16
After reviewing many pages of CDC guidance, as well as State and Local recommendations, Bethel Baptist Church is implementing the following protocol for assembling together for the foreseeable future. Further modifications will be made as necessary.
-Extra Cleaning will be conducted to minimize transmission of virus residue that may be lingering on hard surfaces between services.
Hand sanitizer will be available in common areas
-Attendance: Sick people or those who have been around sick people are asked to stay home until well. People with fevers are asked to remain home out of an abundance of caution. If someone has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has been around someone who has been diagnosed, please follow CDC and your healthcare practitioner’s guidance. Please consider your own health risk condition when deciding to attend.
-Social Distancing: The goal is to maintain 6 feet of separation between members from different households. We encourage the wearing of a cloth face covering when 6 feet cannot be maintained, such as when walking about in the building. We will seat people (households) separated by two pews as reasonable.
-Personnel on the podium may not be wearing a mask since they have sufficient distance and it hinders communication.
-Services will be livestreamed to accommodate those who are at higher risk or who feel unsafe attending for a season. Some modification of typical service routine may be necessary to accommodate “in-house” time versus “live-streaming” time.
-An offering box is available at the front entrance to avoid passing the plates.
-Please bring paper and pen with you to avoid multiple uses of pew items.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Prov. 3:5-8
All services, with the exception of the Sunday School hour, are being livestreamed on Youtube and Facebook due to the restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Both mediums of streaming are viewable through our website under the Livestream tab.
March 29, 2020 – April 1, 2020 : Missions Conference has been postponed. Stay tuned for details.
